Cause of death was Pleuropneumonia, Royal Infirmary in Glasgow, This is the only James Robb death 1861-71. Wife Elizabeth was a widow in 1881. His father is correctly recorded as William, a farmer, however his mother is shown as Elizabeth not Mary. Perhaps mother’s name confused with wife’s name. His occupation is recorded as coal miner not iron mine worker. Further his residence was not with wife and children. Perhaps the informant didn’t have details entirely right.
