Notes for Janet (Spouse 1)
Janet has a ‘son’ James Sim living with her in 1851. He couldn’t be Janet’s son as he was born well after she married Robert Hudson and was a Sim. He still lived with her in 1861 but was recorded as a ‘son-in-law’. He couldn’t be a ‘son-in-law’ as he is too young and his surname being Sim might suggest he was a son of a brother of Janet’s first husband Campbell Sim. The only JAMES SIM found who might fit was as below. This is about the right date for his age 18 given in 1861 census but census gives birth location as Falkirk not KILLEARN which is some 40km from Falkirk.

0/03/1844 (baptism)
