MemoConvict George arrived on the “Coromandel”. He was tried in Sterling and sentenced in Surrey in Oct 1799. He was later freed by Servitude.

The Convict Ships states the Coromandel arrived at Sydney on 13 June 1802 and this was confirmed by the Historical Records of Australia (HRA), Series 1, Vol 3, page 383. mc2.vicnet.net.au/home/grthom/web/Arrivals.html

In the book “The Convict Ships” it is stated that the Coromandel sailed from Spithead on 12 February 1802 with 138 male convicts on board. Just one of them died on the voyage.

MemoGeorge, age 50, ticket of leave, arrived on Coromandel, recorded arriving 1801 (actually June 1802) was a farmer in Evan District (Castlereagh). Sarah, his wife arrived on the Glatton (also recorded as 1801 but actually March 1803) as free settler aged 31 (should be 45). Their children living with them, all colony born, were William & John both 16, Edward 12, Charles 10, Christr 8, James 6 & Eliza 4.
