There were a number of children born around this time to an Edward Whitehouse and wife Sarah. Some that don’t sit well with emigration to NSW 1815/16. Joseph Whomsley Whitehouse is another “son” with whom this might also apply.
Further Edward & Sarah had son in NSW John George 1816 so this John was probably not their child unless this John died before 1816.
