Notes for Ann (Spouse 1)
Ann’s census age quoted suggests a birth a few years after baptism date in 1815, however death index gives correct age based on an 1815 birth.

It is almost certainly right that Ann HART Married William Spurway as shown below.

Parish Records Collection 1538-2005 marriage
Groom's Surname: Spurway
Groom's Forename: William
Bride's Surname: Batstone (?)
Bride's Forename: Anne Hart
Year: 1837 Month:Apr Day:19
Parish:Clayhidon County: Devon
Record source: Devon Marriages
Data provider: Devon Family History Society

However the bride’s surname is shown as Batstone but this could be so if she had married a Batstone at an earlier date. Unfortunately no parish records have been found to support this.

The conclusion made that Ann married William Spurway is because their daughter Myra (Mira) whose married name was Perry witnessed the death of her uncle William Hart(b 1812) in 1899. Further Ann Spurway and her husband lived next door to Robert Hart & family & parents in 1851. In 1891 James Hart lived with Myra and husband. William, James & Robert Hart were brothers of Ann so this would make Myra their niece, is witness on William Hart’s death certificate. See also death memo of William Hart in 1899.

William Spurway has been entered as Ann’s husband based on the above information.

As marriage is based on a transcript and considering all of the above is possible the transcription has errors. Could the name Batstone actually be “banns on” or similar.4962
