Notes for Lydia LEWSEY
Other researchers had Lydia dying before 1848 but after 1841, however no death was found in the indices and this marriage to Adam Fitch was most likely as date and birth location, from the 1851 census, of Lydia are a good fit. This was confirmed in the 1861 census when the FITCH family are shown in Birdbrook living in the same cottage as Lydia’s parents Joseph & Sarah.

In 1901 Lydia was living with her son Harry and his wife Ellen, in Steeple Bumpstead.
