There was another Thomas Best born circa 1822, possibly 18 Aug 1822 Cardinham, Corwall & died 19 Apr 1884 in Mudgee. He married a Mary DOYLE in Kelso in 1846 [428/1846 V1846428 31C code=CL]. Mary was born Kelso in 1831 and died in Lithgow in 1885. They also had a son Thomas S Best in 1853 in Mudgee. This Thomas S Best died Wollongong 1902. He married Sophia Bentley in 1879. His full name was Thomas Sylvester Best. Another son was William George Henry born 1861 and died as George Henry in Coonamble in 5 Apr 1943 & some researhers have his death confused with Thomas Samuels son George Henry who died in 1902.(death record has wrong father’s name). The Coonambe George Henry married Isabel BELL in 1885. They had 2 children, at least, namely James Edwin & Minnie.
Above leads to confusion between the Best families. The above centred around central slopes & plains of New South Wales and this Thomas Samuel who married Mary Ann Tuckwell who lived around north-western Sydney but some relations also around Yass.
