Migration Date4 Sep 1874393 Age: 61
Migration PlaceFalkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland
MemoArrived New Zealand. Elizabeth's Death certificate indicates she arrived around this time this might be her. Husband James died prior to this. Her son Robert and his wife Charlotte and family arrive at Port Chalmers in September 1874 on the Parsee. There was an Elizabeth Walker of the Parsee who is likely to be her but the age quoted was 54 some 5 years younger. As this 54 year old Elizabeth travelled with Marion Scott (see below) could it possible be Marion’s mother, Elizabeth Arbuckle (Scott) travelling as Walker? No record of Marion’s mother’s death has been found in New Zealand and no other evidence has been found to suggest she ever went to New Zealand. Three possible deaths in Scotland have been found. Also on board was future daughter in-law Marion Scott (Arbuckle) and her daughter Elizabeth travelling as Walkers. William Hudson Walker arrived 1st of July in 1873 presumably to make arrangements for arrival of the Walkers on the Parsee.
