Notes for Jane SCOTT
Jane’s mother is recorded as Eliza Farquhar on Jane’s death certificate. The informant being her father George. Why do both Jane’s children have a middle name Wilson perhaps the name of their father?

For Jane to be a half sister of Marion is based upon the fact that her father George had occupation of “Pattern Designer” and he was the only George Scott in Scotland of that occupation. Marion’s father was George Scott a “Pattern Designer”. This is the only connection found.

In the census 1851, Jane Scott, age 9, resided with an aunt & uncle William & Mary Logan, William likely being related to Mary Scott wife of William Scott, Jane’s grandparents.

In census 1861 to 1881 Jane resided with her father. She was also mother of the grandchild of George, namely Archibald born 29 Jul 1859 as shown in the 1861 census.
