In 1911 census Daniel then a widower, living with his daughter Dorothy Rose, in Newmarket Cambridgeshire, notes that he and Rose had 3 children but two had died before 1911. The wo children who died were found to be Lilian May in Cambridge after her mother’s death, and Daniel George at birth shortly before his mother’s death. Perhaps Rose Ellen died as a result of a difficult child birth!
